    On page 60, Dr. Laura Markham writes: "If you feel you aren't getting through to your child; if your child doesn't listen or follow your requests or seems hardened to your anger; if you regularly yell, give "consequences", or put your child in time-out, then your relationship with your child needs work. But even if your child simply seems difficult, she may be giving you the message that she needs something from you that she isn't getting."

    How do you know when your child(ren) are most disconnected with you?

    I know for me it's when we argue a lot or she questions me about everything. Corrects me a lot and stomps away a lot. What about you?
