  • Best way to deal with impatience

I try to always address my child with love, but how can I sometimes cope with being impatient towards her?

    How old is she?

It helps to be very aware of her developmental abilities for her age. There is a series of books by Louise Bates Ames called, "Your One Year Old", "Your Two Year Old", etc...one books for each year of development. These are helpful for understanding what behaviors and abilities are normal...frustrating and trying as they may be, but normal for her age.

Also, I like Piaget's Stages of Cognitive Development and Erickson's Stages of Emotional Development. I find them both very helpful in understanding what stage of development my children are at, and having patience with them!
