| Greetings!
API is pleased to welcome new API Leader Lamelle Ryman with the API of New York City Support Group!
When you have a group of passionate people like we do here at API, they just want to give you more and more! Our mission begins with awareness and education so we want to provide you with useful information. The mission doesn't stop there because we want to help you support the changes you adopt for your family--the ones we all struggle with, like being more patient or creative when we're under stress, or being present when busyness tries to dominate, and then help you advocate for a supportive attachment parenting environment.
We think quarterly is not often enough to give us all that regular boost, plus there is a great deal of information to share! So here's a handy guide to API's publications that you'll want to make sure you're signed up for:
- Parent Compass - This is API's brand new publication for members that debuted last week. It features in-depth wisdom on attachment parenting and is delivered once a month.
- API Links - You're reading it now! It has changed its style but really brings you more of the same great features, news, articles, and API services and products. It's delivered once a month and anyone can sign up to receive it.
- Parenting This Week - Except for the week API Links comes out, this enewsletter notifies you each week of the new posts available to read on The Attached Family magazine online. It also features an API Speaks blog post and an API Forum Q&A.
The links to The Attached Family online magazine in Parenting This Week require a login and password, available in your print or electronic version of The Attached Family or, for easy reference, in the API Forum members section (for which the password is not one and the same, but rather one you create).
Note that the magazine password will change occasionally so be sure to make a note of it. Why is it password protected? The online extension of the magazine was our way to keep The Attached Family print magazine of value to you as well as keep the costs and carbon footprint down by slightly reducing the number of pages. So the online site is a benefit of membership--and membership is only $35, a contribution that API leverages into helping more families every day.
The featured API Speaks blog and API Forum links do not require a login and password for reading posts, and articles and resources are regularly being added to the website, forum and blog--completely free of charge to you.
- APBs - Attachment Parenting Bulletins are special notices about events and opportunities you won't want to miss, and these will usually be infrequent.
We welcome your questions and comments, and we thank you for reading, sharing your thoughts with us, and forwarding API Links to others to create more awareness about the respectful care and nurturing of children. Sincerely,
Samantha |
