API has updated its image and mission to further serve the parents who need us.

The new image is intended to show a balance between the organization's solid foundation in research and its warm and compassionate nature. The colors are intended to be warm and nurturing, as well as contemporary. The updated tagline, "Nurturing Children for a Compassionate World," is a reflection of API's mission to educate and support all parents in raising secure, joyful and empathetic children in order to strengthen families and create a more compassionate world.

With the launch of the new image comes a redesigned web site which includes improved interactive resources like a news feed, shopping cart, and AP forums.

"API's new global parenting forum will supplement its well-established global network of support groups as a valuable resource for ongoing, long-term support for parents."
- Lysa Parker, Co-Founder, API

Our new worldwide AP forum will enable attached parents everywhere to connect with and support each other. By joining API's forum, you can connect with AP families well beyond the boundaries of your local community, which will enrich the support you yourself will receive. You will also have the opportunity to help establish API's worldwide forum, and by signing up, you will help to demonstrate the strength and extent of the global AP community.

The boards will be open to the public upon free registration and will be moderated by volunteers. Moderators ensure that the discussion stays on topic and is respectful, and will provide answers and API positions. In this manner, API's forum provides another possible opportunity for Support Group Leaders and local attached parents to help parents around the world in a safe, supportive manner.
