Come & learn how to teach emotional literacy to your children

Submitted by Rita Brhel on 1 September 2022

Part of the core of parenting is teaching our children about emotions: what they're feeling and what to do about it, and how to empathize with others. This skill is referred to as "emotional literacy."

We know more than ever that emotional literacy is critical for healthy human development. Unfortunately it's a skill that was not regularly nurtured in past generations, so many parents today are learning about difficult emotions like jealousy and disappointment alongside their children.

Nurturings can help parents find support in this area of parenting through local parenting support groups and/or connecting with a Certified Attached at the Heart Parent Educator

We're also looking for individuals passionate in helping parents to raise connected and compassionate children. You would make a great certified parenting educator! We offer online training.

Sometimes parents may not feel they are ready to lead a parenting support group or become a certified parenting educator. Rest assured, the best leaders/educators are those highly motivated to learn how to better guide their own children! That you're seeking answers for your questions means that you know exactly what type of questions other parents are asking. We would love to have you come on board with us at Nurturings.
